Principal Veterinarian
Dr Bec is the founder and principal veterinarian at Wild North. She graduated from Murdoch University in 2006 and has spent over 20 years working with Australasian wildlife, including a clinical residency at Wildbase (Massey University) and Wellington Zoo in New Zealand.
She holds a Master of Veterinary Studies in Conservation Medicine, a Master of Veterinary Studies in Zoo Animal & Wildlife Health, and is the only veterinarian in the Northern Territory with ANZCVS Membership in Australasian Wildlife Medicine — achieved through intensive examination by industry professionals.
Dr Bec serves as the NT Representative of the Wildlife Disease Association and sits on the Animal Ethics Committee at Charles Darwin University. Her research on reptile disease contributed directly to Tuatara conservation in New Zealand.
